Job description:

Our Client based in Newmarket is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join them on a 1 year fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected industry leading logistics provider.

The ideal candidate will have the following duties:

  • Ensure full adherence to Health, Safety and KPI requirements
  • Lead and coach the exisitng team to ensure they are hitting delivery and performance targets
  • Conduct daily team briefs, identifying any potential issues and suggesting ways to overcome them
  • Ensure effective communication between other departments as well as the Warehouse
  • Control Overtime and Sickness reports
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and high standards of work practices

Skills Required:

  • 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role in a recognised distribution or logistics environment
  • Knowledge of WMS systems alongside excellent IT skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proactive and able to solve problems and improve continuously
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedure - IOSH would be desirable but not essential.

This is a full time fixed term contract for 12 months, working hours are between 730am - 430pm Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.
