Job description:

Our client is a hugely respected employer based just south of Cambridge. We are now looking to recruit two Technicians to complete a temporary contract.

The contract is expected to last several months.

Working within a small team, you will be responsible for carrying out complex operations in metallographic sample preparation including cutting, sawing and polishing. There will also be failure investigation work including measuring, marking and assembly of failed samples for metallographic preparation.

Ideally, you will be educated in an engineering or related discipline and you will possess a strong background in materials/mechanical engineering. Knowledge of the importance of correct sample receipt, cutting and preparation for metallographic examination would be a distinct advantage.

You will need to be available immediately and ideally have your own transport due to the location.
