Introducing...

...Simon Rapley! We are delighted and excited to announce that we have recruited an extremely talented and experienced Recruiter in Simon Rapley. Simon will head up our industrial temps division across Cambridge, Haverhill, Newmarket and Saffron Walden. Simon_Rapley_Photo

Simon has over ten years recruitment experience dealing with the local temp market. Managing Director, Colin Saunders, spoke of the new hire..."We were only passively looking to add to the team across our branch network and we were only looking to recruit if a truly exceptional candidate came along. Having heard about our reputation, Simon approached us and was exactly the calibre of Consultant that we now employ at Crem. To have over ten years of recruitment experience at some leading names in recruitment is an opportunity that we simply had to take up. He is extremely well connected, experienced and has a quite brilliant knowledge of the temps market in and around Cambridge."

The appointment of Simon takes Crem to yet another level. Simon will spread himself across both our branches and leaves us with an abundance of talented recruiters across Cambridge and Haverhill and once again emphasises how far we have progressed over the last 12 months.

We wish Simon a long and successful career at Crem.

Kate has come a long way in a relatively short period at Crem and despite being headhunted on a number of occasions, she is committed and delivers results way above our expectations."

The new office will be officially opened by the IOR at 11.00am on 1st July. The event will also see business leaders, reporters and photographers, as well as the new Cambridge Crem Recruitment team, coming together to discuss our expansion in more detail and what it means for the Cambridge business community.

Cambridge Office Update

The recruitment process for our brand new Cambridge office has seen yet another talented Recruiter come on board. Our latest recruit has accepted our offer after our excelling during the short listing and interview process and will start in Cambridge in July.

Our latest addition to the Cambridge team had several offers on the table from some of the leading recruiters in Cambridge so we are delighted that our Cambridge project is attracting the finest Consultants in the area!

So far, the new team in Cambridge have over a decade of experience within the recruitment industry across a variety of sectors and they are eagerly awaiting the challenge ahead.

Director Colin Saunders spoke of the new recruits "the two candidates we have selected to head up the new Cambridge office are of the highest calibre. We really couldn't be happier with who we have hired. Not only are they vastly experienced in the Cambridge recruitment market, they are extremely likeable people and this is important for the office dynamics.

"It was crucial that they are mature and experienced enough to understand the project we are about to embark on and the two we have hired more than fulfil this."

We are still keen to hear from experienced Consultants for the new Cambridge office and the next stage of our expansion in 2014 (to be announced early next year) will see us add significantly more staff.

On the topic of future expansions Colin added "the next two years are mapped out for Crem. We are confident that the Cambridge office will have an immediate impact but we are aware of just how competitive the Cambridge market is but we are there for the long run to build long standing relationships. The 2014 project is being put into place as we speak. It needs precision planning for it to work but it will elevate us to a whole new level."

Kate Wright Promoted to Operations Manager

We are delighted to announce that Crem Recruitment have promoted our Executive Recruiter, Kate Wright, to the role of Operations Manager. Kate has been with Crem for over 14 months and has really taken her role by storm. She has a wealth of experience within the recruitment sector and has established many excellent working relationships with some of the top employers across Haverhill and Cambridge.

Her new role appointment will come into force immediately and she will oversee both the Haverhill branch and the brand new Cambridge branch. Kate will also remain 'hands on' in terms of working with her client base and will be heaviliy involved in rolling out the new office and the operations function of both locations.

Managing Director Colin Saunders said of the promotion "Kate is a real asset to Crem. She exceeds all expectations and goes above and beyond her role. Having worked with and interviewed a vast array of recruiters over the years, I can safely say that Kate is a different class and there are not many like her about. She has been approached many times by some of the sectors biggest names so we have done well to keep her. We have every confidence in her leadership skills and she is the perfect person to oversee the two branches."

Colin added "Being part of Senior Management at Crem, Kate is leading the opening of the new Cambridge branch and will also be a crucial part of the stage 2 and stage 3 of our expansion that will be rolled out in 2014."

New Cambridge Branch opening July 2013

We are delighted to announce that we will be opening a brand new branch of Crem Recruitment in Cambridge. The grand opening will be on July 1st 2013.

This is an exciting addition to our successful Haverhill branch and will specifically focus on candidates and companies in and around Cambridge.

We are in the process of hiring a team of experienced and talented Recruiters for the Cambridge office.

Managing Director, Colin Saunders, is excited by the huge developments saying "Crem continues to go from strength to strength. We have delivered year on year profits and now is the right time to expand. We are inundated with requests for staff from companies in Cambridge so to have a base there seems the obvious decision to make."

Colin added "Our flagship branch in Haverhill continues to thrive and last year we made the changes to our set up that were necessary to take Crem to the next level. We felt we were being held back as a company and the decisions that we made really pushed us on to dominate the Haverhill recruitment market. Something that we will strive to do in Cambridge."

Fellow Director, Tom McKenzie, went on to say "This is a pivotal point for Crem. Getting the right staff on board is crucial for the Cambridge branch to make an immediate impact. We have had one offer already accepted and he will be joining us in time for the launch and we are in the latter interview stages with others. The team we are putting together is an exciting one with vast experience within the recruitment sector with a vibrant attitude and a real hunger to succeed. These are the qualities we now look for in all new recruits."

In addition, Tom said "The path for Crem is now clearly marked out. This is a huge step but we have even further expansion plans for quarter one of 2014 which will see Crem evolve even further within the recruitment market. We see so many fly by night agencies that are shabby, poorly run and inexperienced. They have no respect for the industry we are in and have an adverse affect on our sector. At Crem, we run things as they should be run and this is what makes us stand out. The next stage of our expansion will again propel us even further but let's take one step at a time!"

The new branch will be based on the highly desirable Vision Park which is located north of the city and the perfect Cambridge base for Crem.

We are planning several promotional events in the run up to the Cambridge launch to be rolled out over the forth coming weeks.

Exciting times ahead.

A big thank you to the organisers Cambridge News and also to the venue hosts, the Cambridge Corn Exchange. It was also great to meet with so many like minded companies such as booking.com, ARM, RealVNC to name but a few.

London - Crem Style!

The team at Crem headed to London for a rather special Christmas party to celebrate the companies’ most successful year to date!

The team travelled in a limousine to the five star Royal Horseguards hotel overlooking the Thames and then a festive day and night of fun was ahead.

On the agenda was a trip to London’s Ice Bar, a 5 course meal at one of Kensington’s most prestigious restaurants then onto the Rooftop Gardens nightclub where we had a VIP table booked and danced the night away! limo_snazzy

Managing Director, Colin Saunders, said “we like to look after our staff and encourage team bonding and I can safely say that we all had a night we will never forget!”
He added “our most successful year would not be possible without the expertise and hard graft from the team so it is just a thank you from us”

Fellow Director Tom McKenzie added “it was fantastic having VIP treatment wherever we went across the capital. I can safely say there was a few sore heads the following morning but it was worth it! Not sure how we will top it next year though!”

Recruitment Drive continues at Crem

Following the appointment of Kate Wright and Danielle Baldwin this year, Crem have embarked on the final stage of our expansion for 2012 by appointing Jasmine Westwood as our new Trainee Recruitment Consultant.
Jasmine has been hired due to the increase in temporary bookings and is in training to become a fully qualified Recruitment Consultant.

Jasmine has a background within the service industry across the insurance and retail sectors.

 Jasmine_-_photo

Managing Director, Colin Saunders, spoke of the new hire “When we advertised this role, we were literally inundated with applications so the selection process has been incredibly intense. The candidate we were looking for had to be of a calibre and standard that people expect from Crem and in Jasmine, we have certainly found it.
Personally speaking, I have worked with many consultants over the years, some of which have just had no enthusiasm, have been lazy or did not have any business acumen and Jasmine is in a different league to these even without the industry experience.”

Fellow Director, Tom McKenzie, added “Jasmine especially impressed us with her desire to get into the recruitment industry. She is educated to degree standard and I am convinced she will go on to be a huge success in recruitment. She has already displayed drive and commitment as since we offered her the position here at Crem, she has been thoroughly researching our industry both online and by visiting several of our ‘competitors’. The feedback from some of visits has been far from complimentary which is always nice to hear and nothing less than we expected!!”

Further additions to the team and exciting new divisions will be launched in the New Year.

Kate--Danielle-photo
