Our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to work at their busy site on the outskirts of Brandon. This is a busy and expanding manufacturing plant under new management, and due to the nature of the work required, you will be expected to undertake physical tasks in a dusty environment on a regular basis.

This is a full-time position working upwards of 45 hours per week, your hours will reflect the operations running time Monday to Friday, but may be required to stay later for reactive repairs. Applicants should be available for Overtime and weekend working if required, major repairs are normally completed on a Saturday with 1.5x overtime pay. An immediate start is preferred but not necessary.

Salary.
£42,000 - £50,000 per year, subject to experience.

Duties:

• Perform work provided in Work Order format from Maintenance Department.

• Carry out scheduled visual inspections, testing and repairs of machinery and equipment.

• Operate welding equipment for general maintenance and reactive repairs.

• Use previous experience and initiative to react and repair machines in an effective way that reduces their down time.

• Complete factory maintenance - precast and batching.

• Cleaning of work area and machines.

Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical Maintenance and Welding qualification.

• At least 1+ years working in manufacturing/engineering/construction.

• At least 1+ years working with heavy machinery (agricultural or HGV).
