My client based in Newmarket is seeking a Trainee Service Engineer to join their small but well established team in the heart of Newmarket.

Supporting the Senior engineer and Service administrators, you will be responsible for service and calibration; ordering spare parts, stock take and reporting results to customers.

In addition to this you will provide back up for booking in and shipping of repaired instruments, answering the phone and taking customer queries so applicants must be happy to undertake basic office duties and have excellent IT and communication skills.

A background or strong interest in mechanics/engineering or electronics would be a distinct advantage.

Full training with be given in house and at the Head office in Europe so some travel will be required.

This position is offered with a view to developing and progressing within the company once fully trained

This is a full time permanent position working days only Monday - Friday.
