Recruitment - Its on the up

​The recruitment industry is showing some promising signs of recovery. After months of stagnant candidate availability, the end of the first quarter saw the first increase in available staff since February 2021. This growth was attributed to improved job seeker confidence and also to a surge of redundancies that added to the overall supply of workers.

Demand for employees remains strong, and the latest survey data points to a noticeable rise in total job openings in March, although this was slightly less than February's four-month peak. Permanent roles continued to expand, while the rate of temp vacancies growth moderated to its lowest level in 26 months.
